After 18 years with The King's Singers I have made the decision to move on and concentrate more on my composing and arranging, and also of course to spend more time at home. I have one commission in progress and another four lined up so I will be busy. My last concert with The King's Singers will be in my hometown of Salisbury, on January 28th, 2012. Come along if you can - it will be in part a charity concert for the John McNeill Opportunity Group which is a centre for disabled and disadvantaged children in the Salisbury area. More details to follow.

Putting the finishing touches to a set of Three songs of W B Yeats commissioned by an exciting new professional choir in Paris called "Aedes" - look out for them because they are very good (the choir I mean , not my pieces!). I had always wanted to set one of the Yeats poems "He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven" so was happy to suggest it to them, and managed to find two more which fitted thematically with that one. First performance in the summer.

Also having its first performance this summer, a new setting of The Ash Grove for SSA and piano, commissioned by Farnham Youth Choir with whom I had the pleasure of working last year with The King's Singers.
